Powerful Pumps in Delicate Hands 🫶

🔸 Olha Mykolaivna Chubur showcases the powerful pumps of one of Infoksvodokanal`s sewage pumping stations, which transfer wastewater from a large district of the city. She has been working as a pump station operator for 2️⃣2️⃣ years. She recalls that she first started as an operator, but over time, her male colleagues explained the technical details, and she became a machinist.

📆 Initially, as a young mother of two children, she was attracted by the convenient schedule – one day on, three days off. But soon, she fell in love with her pumps. She performs preventive maintenance🛠 twice a day. Emergencies sometimes happen, and in most cases, Olha Mykolaivna can handle them on her own. In more complex situations, a team of specialists🚐 arrives to assist. She admits that she only gets anxious at work during heavy rainstorms🌧, when all three pumps at her station are running at full capacity.

🔹 Olha Mykolaivna loves her job so much that she persuaded her sister to join Infoksvodokanal in the same role. Later, her brother joined as well. However, he worked for only three years – at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he was mobilized and, tragically, died in March 2022... Olha Mykolaivna found comfort💔 in creativity. Her crochet work amazes both colleagues and relatives.

🏆 For her many years of dedicated work💪 and in honor of the Professional Day of Housing and Utility Workers, Olha Mykolaivna was awarded an honorary certificate from the Association of Water Utilities of Ukraine🇺🇦.
