"Infoksvodokanal" updated more than 1,100 meters of water pipes for residents of Kyiv and Primorsky districts
Despite the difficulties of martial law, "Infoksvodokanal" does not stop work on updating networks and communications. Limited financial opportunities, caused by the significant increase in the price of materials and the astronomical debt of consumers, require a clearer definition of priorities. The company tries first of all to replace the emergency sections of the pipelines, because the reliability and quality of providing services to consumers depends on this.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 600 meters of new water pipes have been laid in the historic center of Odessa, and half a kilometer of modern pipes have been laid in the Kyiv district of the city. "Infoksvodokanal" specialists note that instead of steel pipes, which have reached the limit of operation, they lay networks of reliable polyethylene, the service life of which is at least 50 years. In addition, new fire hydrants, wells and 26 shut-off fittings were installed, which, if necessary, will allow for local shutdowns in the future.
During the works, modern methods were used - trenchless and sanitation, thanks to which it was possible to avoid significant excavations, blocking of motor vehicle traffic, inconvenience for pedestrians, as well as long-term disconnections of water supply to consumers.
To date, the company has already replaced more than 220,000 meters of pipelines with new ones made of modern materials and is trying to continue this work.
In turn, "Infoksvodokanal" is grateful to every consumer for their support and timely payments, since the absence of debt in the conditions of rising prices and costs is a guarantee of the stable operation of the water supply company, which means the quality of water supply and drainage.
