Operational information regarding the elimination of the emergency situation in the central part of Odesa

As of 10:00 p.m., an excavation was carried out at the accident site, and damage to a large-diameter cast-iron water pipe was discovered. Cast iron pipes are more vulnerable to temperature changes, and they are also more difficult and longer to repair.

All emergency service teams of "Infoksvodokanal" are currently involved in the repair works, which will work around the clock. At the same time, specialists of the repair service of the water supply company will manufacture components for repair during the night, since such parts are unique and not available for sale.

Currently, consumers of Primorsky district of Odesa (including the central part of the city) and some streets adjacent to Primorsky district of Khadzhibey and Kyiv districts remain without water supply (there is a possible pressure drop there).

Taking into account the technological features and the complexity of repair works, the estimated time of restoration of water supply has been extended until 12:00 on July 19.
