We continue our story about our most resilient and experienced workers, dedicated to their profession and their city.

Welcoming the New Year 🎄 in a dug-up trench or working under shelling 💣 – to agree to such a job, you must truly love it 😍. That’s exactly the case with Valentyn Bohdanov, who joined the Northern District of "Miskvodoprovod" as a foreman almost 30 years ago.

A graduate of the Odesa Construction Academy 🏗, he never once wore a suit and tie 🤵🏻‍♂️ to work in his first ten years. Whether in scorching heat ☀️, at minus twenty 🥶, or under heavy rain 🌧, he always worked with full dedication because people needed their water supply restored as quickly as possible 🚰. Over time, he became the head of the district and now confidently says: he knows every single pipe here. And that’s a lot – from the Peresyp Bridge to the city of Pivdenne.

The district is not only large but also complex – in some areas, there is a very high groundwater level, and the pipelines are laid at considerable depths. That’s why emergency situations here often feel like a task with an asterisk ⭐️. One of the most challenging was fixing a leak 🛠, which began on the morning of December 31st and was completed in the evening of January 1st. About his work, Valentyn Pavlovych says:
"We work 365 out of 366 – without holidays or days off, around the clock. And if necessary, even during curfew hours when explosions are louder than the noise of heavy machinery."

For his many years of dedicated work 💪 and in honor of the professional holiday, Valentyn Pavlovych was awarded an honorary certificate by the Trade Union of Housing and Communal Services Workers of Ukraine 🇺🇦.
